These terms are an agreement between you and the independent developer of Elysseus Online ("we", "us"). By using elysseus.com, app.elysseus.com or the game, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the game.
Early access
The game is in early access: it is playable today, but it changes constantly. Features appear, change shape and are sometimes removed, and the roadmap on the landing page is a plan, not a promise. The game is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms.
- Your account is anchored to a credential created on your device, and its recovery code is the only way back if the device is lost. There is no password reset. Keep the code somewhere safe; anyone who has it can reach the account.
- One account per person. Do not share or sell accounts.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Playing fairly
- Do not cheat: no bots, automation, exploits or modified clients that give an unfair advantage, and nothing that interferes with the game, the servers or other players.
- The server keeps its own record of what a save could legitimately have earned, and results that could not have happened are refused.
- We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules, and remove content that does.
Purchases
- The game is free to play. Anything you can buy is optional and buys time or appearance, never power: nothing purchasable makes a character stronger.
- Credits are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play; refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policies. Shards and gear are earned by playing and cannot be bought.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact the store first; if that does not resolve it, contact us.
Our content
The game, its art, code, names and lore are ours or our licensors'. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play, and nothing more. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the game beyond what the law allows.
Availability
Early access has no uptime promise. We may change, suspend or end parts of the service, including servers and events, when we consider it necessary. We do not expect to erase progress; if we ever had to, we would say so before it happened and explain why.
Liability
To the extent the law allows: the game is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost progress (for example if your browser's storage is cleared or a device is lost). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and substantial changes will be flagged on the site. Continuing to use the game after a change means you accept the updated terms.
